Govindghat is a small town located in District Chamoli of Uttarakhand, Northern State of India. Govindghat lies at an elevation of 6,000 feet above sea level. Govindghat is situated on the meeting point of River Alaknanda and River Lakshman Ganga. Govindghat is a beautiful small town and a base camp for Pilgrims to Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, and Trekkers to Valley of Flower. In Govindghat on the right bank of River Alaknanda, a Gurudwara is situated where many pilgrims stay. This Gurudwara is also an important landmark of Govindghat. Many travelers came here. In the year 2013, the Great flood also destroys most part of the Govindghat.

Badrinath Ji Temple-
Badrinath is 25 km away from Govindghat. Badrinath Temple a Famous Holy temple of Hindu Pilgrims. Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Badrinath temple is also one of Chota Char Dham’s in Uttarakhand.

Rishikesh Railway station is the nearest railway station to reach Govindghat. Then from Rishikesh, you can take a cab to Govindghat.
