Where is the Chopta Chandrashila?

Chopta is a village located approx 36 km from Gopeshwar and 254 kms from Rishikesh and approximately 450 kms from Delhi. From Chopta, a trek of a distance of 3km leads to Tungnath, and from there 1km trek away takes you to Chandrashila peak. The simplest route for Chopta Chandrashila from Delhi would be:

Delhi > Haridwar > Devprayag > Rudraprayag > Ukhimath > Chopta > Tungnath > Chandrashila

If you are coming from outside of Uttarakhand, like from Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore, so you have to reach Haridwar first then your journey to Tungnath will begin easily.

Tungnath – Chandrashilla – Chopta – Deoriatal

Day-1

People have to reach Dehradun/ Haridwar/ Rishikesh, after reaching these spots, our journey will begin to Chopta then we will stay for 1 night in Chopta.

Day-2

Then on the next day, we will ahead on our journey from Chopta to Tungnath then after spending a few moments in Tungnath, we will move ahead to Chandrashila, then on the same day we will come back to Chopta Hotel and stay for a night here,

Day-3

After spending 2 nights in Chopta, on the next day we will move to Deoria Tal, then will stay here for a night in Deoria Tal

Day-4

Then on the next day after visiting Chopta- Tungnath, we will be coming back to Dehradun/ Haridwar/ Rishikesh.
