Vaishno Devi mandir or the temple of Mata rani, who has combine energies of all the three goddess- Mahakali, Mahalaxmi, and Mahasaraswati. It is one of the most visit temples which attracts thousands of devotees every year.

 

  1. Location– Vaishno Devi mandir is located in Katra in a small Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir. It is located at Trikuta mountain i.e. three-peaked mountains in Jammu and Kashmir at 5200ft.

The Three Pindis(Naturally formed) The three pindis (3 faces of mata rani which symbolizes Maha Laxmi, Maha Kali, and Maha Saraswati) in the cave of Maa Vaishno Devi mandir which is naturally formed no one has carved them and the most shocking fact is about this three pindis is that they are made from a single rock but all the faces have different texture and color and therefore different from one another which creates a lot of curiosity among the devotees with a strong belief that all their wishes are fulfilled her wishes by Mata Vaishno Devi.

Appealing history of Vaishno Devi – As per the facts, it is said that when the Goddess had to defeat the devil and her three forms i.e. Maha Laxmi, Maha Kali, and Maha Saraswati merged their energies and took birth in the house of Ratnakar Sagar in South of India. She was named Trikuta and was a devotee of Lord Rama, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. She did a lot of meditation for him. Lord Rama met her during his 14years of exile where lord renamed her as Vaishnavi which means a devotee of Lord Vishnu and promised her to marry her is her next birth. Apart from that he also gave her his bows, arrows, and a lion for her protection.  She kept meditating from one place to another. Bhairon Nath was enchanted by her beauty and in order to escape from his attention Vaishno Devi entered a cave for 9months but he didn’t stop teasing her but failed to do so but unfortunately, she took the form of Maha Kali and killed him. After that, she re-entered the cave and vanished. Later Mata Vaishno Devi appeared in the dreams of Shridhar who found this cave and the three pandis and served his entire life at this shrine board.

Banganga River(Footprints of Vaishno Mata)– Banganga river is one of the shrine board in Vaishno Devi with spiritual significance and miracles. As the name comprises of Ban + Ganga i.e. arrow and Ganga. Vaishno Devi Yatra 2023(Trekking opportunity)– Maa Vaishno Devi shrine board located in the Trikuta Mountains at an altitude of 5200ft and is 13km trekking on foot from Katra which approximately take 5hours of trekking. Vaishno Devi Yatra is open 24*7. We can also take advantage of Helicopter booking to the temple. Apart from trekking, there are several other modes to reach the temple: pony ride, palkhis, palanquin, or by helicopters. There is a lot of clothing and accessory shops dealing with rare and unique items that can’t be found easily anywhere else.
