How to reach Tungnath Mahadev Temple

By Road:-   Tungnath can be reached as of  Gopeshwar road up to Chopta about 212 km from Rishikesh and 248 km from Dehradun via the Chamoli-Gopeshwar-Chopta route. From Chopta you have to take the small 3 km Tungnath trek direction to arrive at the Tungnath temple.

 

By Air:- To reach Tungnath temple you have to take a Helicopter from the Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun to the Kedarnath helipad and then take a taxi or bus from Kedarnath to Tungnath which is 42 km away The closest airport near Tungnath is located at Kedarnath.

By train:- The nearest Railway station from Tungnath Temple is Rishikesh Railway station 210 km away. After reaching Rishikesh Railyway station  you have to take a taxi or bus to reach Tungnath by road estimated time will be 7 to 8 hrs
