About Kedarnath Temple (Uttarakhand)
Kedarnath is around 1200 years old Temple situated at a height of 3,583 m (11,755 ft) and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kedarnath is a part of Panch Kedar. Recently photography and videography which were allowed earlier now banned in Kedarnath Temple as people were making reels, shorts and content to upload to their social media sites which made an unhealthy environment in Kedarnath Temple that’s why the authority banned videography and photography in Temple. Kedarnath temple has no direct access to the temple; people have to trek 16km from Gaurikund. From Gaurikund you can take a helicopter service to reach Kedarnath Temple which will take around 10-15 min or you can go by trekking which will take around 5-6 hrs.

Weather in Kedarnath:
The Kedarnath Temple remains closed for 6 months from November to March every year due to heavy snowfall. The high-quality time to go to Kedarnath is from September to October and May to June.
