Snowfall Held at Kedarnath Temple:

Among the pilgrims who visited the Kedarnath shrine, the mercury descended in the region, and the hills were covered with immaculate white snow. According to the authorities, the snowfall caused a drop in temperature. It was very cold in the area.

About Kedarnath Temple

Kedarnath has been a center of pilgrimage since ancient times. The construction of the temple is attributed to the Pandava brothers mentioned in the Mahabharata. One of the earliest references to Kedarnath occurs in the Skanda Purana (circa 7th-8th century), which names Kedara (Kedarnath) as the place where Lord Shiva released the blessed water of the Ganges from his dull hair, resulting in hair River Ganges.

Kedarnath has located 249 km from Dehradun in Uttarakhand and near the source of the Mandakini River at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 ft) above sea level.
