Rani Sati Temple is located in Jhunjhunu district in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is the largest temple in Indias devoted to Rani Sati, a Rajasthan lady who lived sometime between the 13th and 17th century committed Sati on her husband’s death. various temples in Rajasthan and elsewhere devoted to her worship and to commemorate her act. Rani Sati is also called Narayani Devi and also called Dadaji. The temple is notable for not holding any paintings or statues of their female or male gods. Instead, a Trishul depicting power and force is worshiped religiously by the followers. A portrait of Rani Sati Dadiji is located in the Pradhan Mand. The temple is constructed from white marble and has colorful walls paintings. In the complex of Rani Sati Temple there is also the Lord Hanuman, Sita, Thakur ji, Lord Ganesha, and Shiva Temple. A regular prasad distribution takes place after every Aarti; the main temple there are twelve smaller Sati temples. A huge statue of Lord Shiva is located in the center of the complexed is surrounded by green gardens. Inside the temple the interiors are adorned with executed murals and glass mosaics depicting the exquisite murals and glass mosaics depicting the entire history of the place. 

Observance and Festivals of Shree Rani Sati Dadi Mandir: – 

Hundreds of devotees visit the temples every day. An elaborates aarti is performed at the temples two times a day. These are: –

  1. Mangala Aarti: – Performed in the early morning, when the temple is opened. 
  2. Sandhya Aarti: – Performed in the evening, at sunset.

A special Poojan Utsav in Shree rani sati Dadi mandir is held on the occasion of Bhadra Amavasya: the 15th day of the dark half of Bhadra month in the Hindu calendar is of special significance to the temples.

It is the firm belief of Marwari from Rajasthan that Rani Sati is an avatar of Maa Durga. The Marwari society of Rajasthan as well as from all other parts of the country worship Rani sati Dadi daily in their houses.

The history of Rani Sati starts from the time of Mahabharata. It is believed that Rani sati was utera decided to be sati along with Abhimanyu’s funeral. Came to her rescue and pursued her wish of being married to Abhimanyu and her desire to be sati in her next life.

As granted by Lord Krishna, in her next life she was born as the daughter of Gursamat in the village of Thuraya in Rajasthan. She was named – Narayani. Abhimanyu took birth in Hisar as son of Jayaram and named – Thandhan.
