The Char Dham Yatra has to start in Uttarakhand in May, the doors of Badrinath Dham coming under Char Dham Yatra are going to open on May 8, Kedarnath Dham on May 6, and Gangotri Dham and Yamunotri Dham on Akshaya Tritiya on May 3. The review meeting for Chardham Yatra preparation was earlier to be held on April 2, but due to some reasons, it was postponed.
The Government of Uttarakhand says that the message of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ should be conveyed to the country and abroad through this Char Dham Yatra. It has been estimated that this time a large no. of devotees are expected to come. The preparations for Char Dham Yatra will be ensured accordingly. The Chief Minister has directed the concerned District Magistrates to regularly watch and monitor the progress of works going on Yatra routes. The state government has directed that in case of blockage of the road, necessary machines should be arranged immediately and posted to open them immediately.
During this meeting, the Chardham yatra travel strategy has planned and reviewed till late evening. The inspector-General of Police, District Magistrate, top officials of all the major departments and institutions related to Chardham Yatra was present there. The officers had been guided to keep important information and progress reports in the meeting. Additional Commissioner, Travel Administration Organization’s Officer on Special Duty Narendra Singh Quiriyal gave this information.
