Guptkasi to Somprayag is about 30 kilometers away and can be reached by car, rental car, or public bus. From Sonprayag, take a local taxi to Gaurikund, which is about 6 kilometers away, and then walk the remaining 16 kilometers to Kedarnath.
The journey to the temple begins at the last stop on the car, Gauri Kund. The 16-kilometer hike takes between 5 and 6 hours to complete. Everyone is unable to trek. You can ride ponies and parks at the temple.
