There is a one-meter-high black stone statue of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that earlier Lord Shiva used to reside where this Dham is situated, but later Lord Vishnu started living at this place.

According to the belief, in Badrinath Dham, there are six months of human and six months of Dev worship. Devarshi Narad worships Lord Narayana here during winters.
