Kedarnath yatra remains open from April till October, the best months to visit Kedarnath are May, June, September, and October.
Currently, there is no train route for Chardham, but in the future trail services will start, and trains will be available till Rudraprayag.

After reaching Gauri kund finally, you can start your trek for Kedarnath Temple. Gaurikund is a base camp for trek to Kedarnath. If you are traveling by your own car, Sonpryag will be the last destination, because parking facilities are available at Sonpryag only. If you are reaching in the evening you can take a break in Gaurikund then next morning you can start your trek for Kedarnath.
Start your trek early in the morning because the trek is an 18km long trek. Trek requires pilgrims to be physically strong. Kedarnath is a religious place, if you are carrying plastic poly bags with you, do not throw plastic bags on the trek route. It is risky for animals, and another reason is plastic releases harmful gases that can easily pollute the climate.
