The Uttarakhand’s tourism board has initiated a ‘Tourist care system’ mobile app for tourists who are going to visit Chardham of Uttarakhand (Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, Hemkund Sahib).
The app will provide meteorological updates by the Meteorological Department and will provide advanced notifications in case of any meteorological disruptions or obstacles like landslides along the way.
Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar said that after downloading the app, a tab will be kept on their movement on the way to the five centers of faith with the help of 28 high definition cameras installed at 14 pre-identified places along the travel route.
Jawalkar said that the vehicle number plate of the tourists will be linked to this App through an automatic number plate recorder. After this process, all the information about the route, weather alerts, and major updates will be available to all the tourists through the app.
He also added that a Control Room at the UTDB headquarters will work 24×7 for the successful implementation of the project.
