In Champawat Nagar about 2 km east, there is the oldest temple of Maa Jhalimali Devi Mandir
in Fugar village near the bank of the Giddya river. People of this village claim jhalimali is originated from this village. “The Goddess Jhalamali is very near to Hidimba also called as Hingla Devi. It is believed that jhalimali is the kuldevi of mahr/raut the king of kumaon region. The temple of Jhalimali is established at Kandara near Pauri Garhwal.
