History and mythology of Laxman sidh temple, Dehradun:-
According to popular belief, this temple was performed by lord Laxmana at this place after killing Ravana by king Dasaratha’s son “Ram and Lakshman”, to get rid of the sin of brahmacharya, hence the name of this temple is “Laxman sidhapeeth Temple”.
According to the legend, the saint swami Laxman sidh had done penance at this place and the sant took samaddhi at this place. A well is also established at the distance of 400 meter from this sidhpeeth. About this well it is believed that the water of the well used to come out in the from of milk in ancient times. Laxman ji had drawn water from the well with his arrow(teer) because at that time there was no water in this well.

It is said about laxman sidh, Dehradun that this sidhhapeeth is one of the 84 sidhas of rishi peeth rishi dattatreya. This sidh peeth is the best of the four sidhhapeeth located in Dehradun.
Shivling has been established in sidhapeeth and devotees worship shivling . Since ancient time, there is a monolithic dhuna in this temple, which is established in this temple from from ancient times or treta yuga. The ashes of this tune are distributed as prasad to all the devotees.

Due to cold in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of rains.
