Sankri
Sankri is in Mori Tehsil, Uttarkashi district situated at a height of 1,950 ft. First-day trekkers visit Sankri, and a number of trekkers can be seen here. From the Mori headquarters sub-district, Sankri is 25 km away and from Uttarkashi district headquarters it is 195 km. Sankri, the Himalayan valley is captured with lush greenery forest and while trekking from Sankri, you will meet with deodar forest, beautiful rivers, and mountains which makes your trek way more amazing.

Juda-Ka-Talab
From Sankri, trekkers visit Juda-ka-Talab at 4 km and at a height of 9,100 ft. Juda-ka-Talab, where trekkers rest for a while and can enjoy the frozen lake. In Juda-Ka-Talab there are a number of frozen can noticed that make it more amazing. Trekkers spend their nights here at camp and many camps can be noticed. The following day after having breakfast trekker’s journey started for the Kedarkantha base camp.

Kedarkantha base camp
From Juda-Ka-Talab to the Kedarkantha base camp at 11,250 feet, one can notice a dense forest of oak and pine trees and a whole area covered with snow and it takes 4 km to reach the Kedarkantha base camp. It makes treks staggering to enjoy and at night temperature in the Kedarkantha base camp can get as low as 20 degrees Celsius.

Kedarkantha Peak
Kedarkantha peak is the final destination of trekkers at a height of 12,500 ft. From Kedarkantha base camp to Kedarkantha peak, the temperature drops suddenly due to this high altitude and seeing the rising sun from Kedarkantha peak is a dream of almost every Kedarkantha trekker and that’s why trekkers try to reach before sunrise so they can see that breathtaking moment of sunrise.

Hargaon Base Camp
Hargaon is at 8,900 ft. Back from the Kedarkantha peak, trekkers take Hargaon route to return Sankri. Hargaon Base Camp, where trekkers rest and adore the view around camp. The sunrise and sunset are seen most beautifully from here.
