- People celebrate the Ambubachi Mela festival in between the Brahmaputra water turns red for three days. As people believed that it happens due to the menstrual period of Kamakhya Devi. During these three days temple remain closed. And after three days the temple of the Goddess Kamakhya is reopened and a crowd of devotees gathers.
- You will be surprised to know that a very unique prasad is given to devotees. A white cloth is placed in this temple for three days. And after three days, when the temple reopens, the cloth is wet with red color and the cloth is given to devotees in the form of prasad.
