This Tungnath trek may also be done through Trian. The nearest rail station to Tungnath is Rishikesh Railway Station.
The distance of Tungnath from Rishikesh Railway Station is only 207 KM. (Rishikesh to Tungnath Distance) From Rishikesh, you can reach Tungnath by the Chamoli-Gopeshwar-Chopta route. From Rishikesh, you can easily reach Tungnath with the help of a bus, taxi, and cab.
3) How to Reach Tungnath by Road-Tungnath Trek
You may reach Chopta through Rudraprayag if you want to visit the Tungnath trek via road. and Ukhimath with the help of your private vehicle, after that you can reach Tungnath by walking 3.5 km. From Rishikesh, From Rishikesh, take National Highway 58 to Rudraprayag.
After reaching Rudraprayag, you have to take National Highway 109 which will take you to Ukhimath. You can reach Rudraprayag and Ukhimath by Uttarakhand transport buses running from Rishikesh and Dehradun, Taxis, and cabs are available from here to take you to Chopta.
