History of Gauri Kund

If we go back to the past of Gauri Kund, we find some interesting fact that it is the sacred place which is directly interlinked between Goddess Parvati & Lord Shiva where she did austerity and accomplished various deeds & successfully won over the hearts & minds of Lord Shiva. Later, the ascetic Lord Shiva also confessed his love for her at this destination and they married each other in the Triyuginarayan Temple.

There is also a true saying story about this place which depicts that before going back to the bathe Goddess Parvati created a miraculous and sagacious child named Lord Ganesha from the soap suds on her body. Then she asked him not to let anyone enter & safeguard her mother’s honor at any cost.  Then Ganesha obeyed her mother every single word and took the onus as a protector. However, Lord Shiva arrived there and insisted on Ganesha many times to get out of my way and but he stopped him from entering every time. As a result, Shiva beheaded Ganesha in front of all Gods & Goddess.

Later, upon knowing about the true story Lord Shiva realized his mistake & gave back a boon of life to Ganesha by joining a baby elephant’s head to his body & fulfilled his onus as a father.
