About Deo Tal Mana Pass
Deo Tal is alternatively known as “Dev Tal” or “Lake of Lords” is a pious and mesmerizing lake in Mana Pass that is located on the India-China border. Mana-pass is the highest motorable pass in the world. Deo Tal Mana Pass is a sacred place as there is a belief that the Saraswati River is originated from here. Deo Tal Lake remains frozen the entire year except for September month.
History
In previous times Mana Pass was a trade route between Uttarakhand &Tibet. This trade route was closed by the Chinese in 1951. The route was later used by pilgrims and travelers under the agreement between India and China.
