Overcoming the challenges of the weather, the crowd of pilgrims is increasing in the four dhams. Since the beginning of the yatra, more than nine lakh devotees have visited in 20 days. The number of devotees visiting Kedarnath Dham has reached close to three lakhs. Registration is full according to the carrying capacity for darshan in the four dhams till the first week of June.
This time on May 3, on Akshaya Tritiya, the Chardham Yatra started with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. While the doors of Kedarnath temple were opened on 6th May and Badrinath temple on 8th May.

The media in-charge of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, Dr. Harish Gaur said that till May 23, more than nine lakh pilgrims have visited the Chardhams. Till 22 May, 281584 pilgrims visited Badrinath Dham, 298234 in Kedarnath Dham, 173138 in Gangotri, 127617 in Yamunotri Dham.
20 lakh registrations so far for Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib
So far, about 20 lakh devotees have registered for darshan in Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib. Keeping in view the convenience and safety of the pilgrims, the number of pilgrims has been fixed for daily darshan at Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib. Keeping in view the increasing number of pilgrims, the tourism department has advised to book hotels, heli services and other places for darshan at Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib only after checking the availability of registration to avoid any inconvenience.
For any kind of information related to registration, you can contact the call center made in Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDB) from 7 am to 9 pm. The tourism department appealed to small shopkeepers including pilgrims and local traders to take special care of cleanliness in Char Dham, Hemkund Sahib and travel routes, temple premises, rivers and surrounding areas.
Dustbins have been installed at many places along the travel routes. So use a dustbin to put the garbage. Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib are the center of faith of crores of Hindus. By keeping these places clean, you can contribute in environmental protection.
