A joint seminar with shopkeepers, hotel operators, and taxi union leaders was held in conjunction with the Chardham Yatra by the police and the RTO. Operators of lodges and hotels were asked to post a fixed rate list.
All hotels and lodge operators were directed to provide information regarding hotel bookings and, after getting ID evidence from passengers, to record the entire entry details in the register and post the mandated rate list in the hotel and lodge during the seminar held in Guptkashi. Appeals for help in keeping vehicles of passengers arriving at hotels in approved parking areas and traffic flowing smoothly.
The taxi union officials were consulted, and the vehicle operators were instructed to collect the fixed charge from the passengers. When the police receive the complaint, they will take the appropriate measures against the person. During the meeting, discussions with the concerned taxi unions were held about providing a shuttle service from Sonprayag to Gaurikund and a temporary parking lot at Barasu, Phata Guptkashi, and Sonprayag.
It was discussed how to solve as many of the concerns of traders as feasible, as well as how to set the timetables of goods carriers based on the smooth condition of traffic during the route. Circle Officer Rudraprayag Prabodh Kumar Ghildiyal, Circle Officer Guptkashi Vimal Rawat, Police Officer-in-Charge Guptkashi Ajay Kumar Jatav, and the people of Taxi Unions were present in the meeting.
