Chardham Yatra 2022: 170 drones to monitor routes

Chardham Yatra 2022: 170 drones to monitor routes | Devdham Yatra

The government has relaxed its regulations in order to make the Chardham Yatra safe and secure, which will begin next month in the state. On the Chardham Yatra routes, 170 drones will be tracked in this sequence. These will be positioned around the passenger facilitation centers that will be constructed in various locations.

Drones will not only be utilized to monitor the traffic system but they will also be used in disaster relief and rescue operations.

The Chardham Yatra will begin on May 3rd. Due to the Corona crisis, the Chardham Yatra ran for a limited time in 2020 and 2021 under the shadow of restrictions. During this time, a small percentage of passengers were allowed to travel only if the corona test came back negative.

Because of the corona infection, the problem is now under control. To defend against Corona, the government has lifted all limitations on movement. Only now is the focus on safe behavior, such as the usage of masks and maintaining a safe physical distance.

Despite this, the Chardham Yatra is likely to attract a huge number of pilgrims this year. The fact that advance booking is in full swing at hotels along the Chardham Yatra route indicates this.

Also, a 20-day advance booking for the Kedarnath Heli service has been done. As a result, the administration is stressing this year’s Chardham Yatra as being safe and simple. Drones are being used on the travel route to do this.

Drone pilots are now being trained.

While preparing for it, the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) has begun training drone pilots. There are already 170 registered drone pilots in the state’s hilly and plain districts, all of whom own drones. On the Chardham Yatra routes, the ITDA is training them in traffic management and disaster management.

The exact causes of traffic congestion on the travel route will be identified, and traffic will be assisted as a result. Drones will also be able to gain a better view of catastrophe-prone areas and speed up relief and rescue activities in the case of a disaster.

Drone pilot training is underway, according to ITDA Director Amit Sinha.
