It’s said that Goddess Parvati was eating the leaves of the Bilva tree in hunger and for help thirst of water, the father of all, Lord Bhrama came and offered the water from the swash Ganga to the Goddess, and the source of water is now known as the ‘ Gauri- Kund ’ placed just 50 steps down from the temple.
