How to Reach Aurangabad to Kedarnath:

Are you planning a trip from Aurangabad to Kedarnath Darshan? The following information may be helpful in planning your trip:

  • The distance between Aurangabad to Kedarnath by Road is 1750 km
  • Nearest Railway Station: Aurangabad (AWB)
  • Nearest Airport: Chikkalthana Airport
  • Nearest Bus Stand: Aurangabad

The total distance from Aurangabad to Kedarnath is 452 km, which can be traveled by Road, Train, and air.

Although there is no direct train from Aurangabad to Kedarnath or any nearby region like Rishikesh or Dehradun,. The travelers have to book a train from Aurangabad to Delhi Nizamuddin station and from there they can reach Rishikesh by Train and book a Taxi

Although the road connectivity to Kedarnath temple is limited till Sonprayag, after this you can reach Gaurikund by trekking almost 16–20 km on your own or hiring Horses, Mule are also available, pilgrimages which take almost 10 -12 hrs approx., can also utilize the Helicopter service and return on the same day to Sonprayag.

Best time to visit Kedarnath:

If you are planning to visit Kedarnath temple, you should register your visit on the government website for each member visiting. There is a minimum fee you need to pay.

The best time of the year starts from April to November, mainly in the summers, as the gates (Kapatt) of the temples reopen for pilgrimages.

Also, if you have your vehicle and plan to travel, it is advised to get it registered for the Green Pass. Prior Registration for the Badrinath / Kedarnath Yatras is mandatory. https://badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in/

Where to stay: Visitors can easily find hotels and guest houses. GMVN has arranged many hotels, house huts, and tents in the Sonprayag and Kedarnath areas so people can rest or stay overnight.

Plan your visit properly with lightweight luggage; do not carry unnecessary luggage.
