Distance Pune to Kedarkantha via Roadways
1. Personal vehicle:
Personal vehicle is one of the many roadway options to travel with, in this option you can drive your own vehicle from Pune to Sankri basecamp through the distance of 1889kilometers. Although this method of travelling for a trek is not recommended at all s it is very tiring and exhausting, before a tre kit is not preferred to be tired as trekking is a physical activity and requires full stamina, strength, and will be enjoyable then only.
2. Bus services:
Bus services are one of the most used transportation form in India. You can take a bus service in Pune City via MSRTC Bus Depot, Pune Station to ISBT Dehradun which is a total travel distance of 1684km between the 2 Bus Stations.
After reaching ISBT Dehradun, the next step is to reach sankri Basecamp in Uttarkashi. A taxi service is required to reach the Sankri basecamp and the distance between ISBT Dehradun and Sankri basecamo is 200kilometers.
Distance Pune to Kedarkantha via Railways:
To travel via Railway from Pune to Kedarkantha Trek, you will need a ticket from Pune Junction Railway Station to Dehradun Railway Station. As there are no direct trains from Pune Junction to Dehradun Station, only the trains via 1 stop in between are available. Some common stops for Pune-Dehradun trains are: the Harzrat Nizamuddin Railway Station Delhi, Kota Junction, Raja Ki Mandi Station.

The Distance between Pune Junction and Dehradun Railway Station varies on the train’s route you chose.
After reaching Dehradun Railway Station, for Kedarkantha trek you need to reach Sankri basecamp in Uttarkashi for which a taxi service will be needed and the distance between Dehradun Railway Station to Sankri basecamp is 204 Kilometers.
Distance Pune to Kedarkantha via Airways:
Airways/airplanes are one of the most convenient and fastest way of travelling throughout the world. Flights are faster than any other mode of transportation and takes very less time.
To travel from Pune to Kedarkantha Trek via airways, you have to travel from Pune International Airport to Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun. The average flight time between the Pune international Airport and Jolly Grant Airport is, 2hours20mins for Non-stop flights and 6hours10mins for connecting flights.

After reaching the Jolly grant Airport, you will need a taxi service or any vehicular service to reach sankri basecamp in Uttarkashi. The distance between the Jolly Grant Airport and Sankri basecamp is 227kilometers.
Distance From Sankri to Kedarkantha Top:
After all the travelling you will reach Sankri in Uttarkashi. Sankri is the first basecamp for the kedarkantha trek, it is the first/initial step towards the beginning of the kearkantha trek. At sankri your trek guide will give you all the necessary information regarding the trek and will mentally prepare you for it.
From there the kedarkantha trek will begin. The total walking distance of the trek from sankri basecamp to Kedarkantha top is 18kilometers up-down. The trek takes approximately 3 days, during these 3 days the trekkers walk 9kilometers up the snowy mountain while halting for rest and camping at nights to sleep. After reaching the kedarantha top, trekkers walk 9kilometers down the snowy mountain of Kedarkantha range and reach back to sankri basecamp, hence completing the beautiful trek of kedakantha.
