The fee for the wheelchair service in Gangotri Dham has been fixed. On charging more than the prescribed fee, the steering committee will remove the person concerned. Along with this, his wheelchair will also be confiscated.
On Saturday, in the meeting of District Administration, Gangotri Himalaya Environment, Tourism Public Service Committee and Shri Panch Gangotri Temple Committee, the charges for wheelchair service were decided unanimously. In which the fee for commuting from Nagar Panchayat dumping zone to Gangotri temple is Rs 450 and Rs 225 on one side and Rs 200 from Swami Vivekananda Trust Hospital to Gangotri temple and Rs 100 from one side. SDM Bhatwadi CS Chauhan informed that the wheelchair service will be operated through the porter agency. For which information about the fixed rates will have to be given by putting up a sign board within three days. Along with this, the Wheelchair Steering Committee will also set up its office.
