Once the heli service starts, it will take only 25 minutes to reach Srinagar from the capital Doon. Big relief has also been given to the passengers in the fare.

Dehradun: Air services are expanding rapidly in Uttarakhand. Jollygrant Airport is connected to major cities of the country. Soon heli service will be started in small hill towns of the state. The wait is just about to end.Helicopter air service will start in seven cities in Uttarakhand from October 7.

After the start of the heli service, the journey of many hilly areas of Garhwal will become easier from the state capital Dehradun.The routes on which the air service will commence include routes such as DehradunSrinagarDehradun, DehradunGaucharDehradun, ChinyalisaurSahastradharaChinyalisaur and GaucharSahastradharaGauchar. Once the heli service starts, it will take only 25 minutes to reach Srinagar from Dehradun.

The journey on the rest of the route will also be completed in 40 minutes.

 Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia through virtual medium from the Secretariat on Tuesday regarding increasing air services in Uttarakhand. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia will launch heli services in Uttarakhand on 7 October. Passengers have also been given relief in fare.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had raised the issue of expensive heli service during his meeting with Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia. After which the fare has been reduced by 42 percent on Dehradun to Srinagar route and 50 percent on Dehradun to Gauchar route.

Apart from this, the connectivity of cities from Jolly Grant Airport will be increased further. Action on Pantnagar Greenfield Airport will be expedited. The land was intended for 13 heliports in Uttarakhand. Of these, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of 11 was written. The eighth tender procedure will end on October 20.
