After this, a large number of devotees are gathering for the Char Dham Yatra. On Monday, there was a shortage of buses for Char Dham Yatra in Rishikesh. Due to this, the pilgrims also suffered a lot.
Char Dham Yatra 2022: This year the record breaking devotees are reaching for the Char Dham Yatra which started after the Corona period. The crowd of pilgrims coming from different states of the country is such that there has been a shortage of buses in Rishikesh, the gateway of the Yatra. At the same time, due to non-availability of buses, devotees are not able to leave for Chardham Yatra. During this, travel agents have made arrangements for the passengers to stay in Dharamshalas till the buses are arranged.
Buses stopped in Rishikesh after 11 am on Monday
Let us tell that on Monday morning a large number of pilgrims from many states-Madhya Pradesh, UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra etc. had reached Rishikesh. During this, after getting the photo registration done in Chardham Yatra Bus Terminal Compound, the pilgrims started waiting for the buses, but at 11 in the morning, the buses for Chardham Yatra stopped completely. Pilgrims kept waiting for the buses for hours but the buses were not available and the devotees got stuck in Rishikesh itself.
At the same time, seeing the problems of the pilgrims, the travel agents told them that due to the huge crowd of devotees, the buses have become less. He advised the pilgrims waiting for the buses to stay in Rishikesh for a day and visit religious places and stay in Dharamsala.
ARTO called emergency meeting due to shortage of buses
Please tell that due to lack of buses, about 90 pilgrims from MP were staying in Sulekhi Mai Dharamshala. At the same time, 80 passengers were staying in Punjab Sindh region Dharamsala in UP and 35 in Bhagwan Bhawan Ashram. On the other hand, ARTO Arvind Pandey held an emergency meeting with the transport businessmen on Monday after hearing about the lack of buses in Chardham after the collapse of the transport system on the local routes of the hilly region. During the meeting, the list of reserved buses for local route and Chardham Yatra was sought from the transport companies by the ARTO. At the same time, the assurance of providing buses was also given by the Transport Department.
50 buses have been sought from Uttarakhand State Transport Corporation
Let us inform that in order to avoid shortage of buses during Chardham Yatra, the Transport Department has demanded 50 buses from Uttarakhand State Transport Corporation and 25 buses from Kumaon Division. The ARTO told about this that there has been an affair regarding this, soon the buses will reach Rishikesh. At the same time, he also talked about reserving 65 buses of the traffic cooperative union and 108 buses of the rotation committee for the local route.
