History
Earlier, Pantnagar was part of Uttar Pradesh. It has become a part of Uttarakhand, (which is situated in the northern division of India) after 9 November 2000. Pantnagar is famed as it’s the home of the first agriculture university of India that is the Govind ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBUAT, Pantnagar).GBUAT Pantnagar was established in 1960 and it has played a huge role in transforming the technology, research, and agricultural training of India.
