Prime Time to do trekking in Dayara Bugyal

Dayara Bugyal trek can be done in all-season. This bugyal seems distinctive in every season. It unfolds its lovely colors in each season differently.

Best time to do the trek in the year:

Summer(Mid May- June). Grassland is blanketed with greenery and white, purple, and yellow color flowers are scattered throughout the grassland. It is most convenient to do this trek in summer as it has alluring views along with the appropriate temperature at this time to enjoy your adventurous journey.

Autumn – (Mid- September-November) is prime to visit Dayara bugyal trek. The whole meadow changes its color from lush green to a golden brown. The sky is crystal clear at this time and you can behold Gangotri range, Bandarpoonch majestic views that peeps out of golden meadows under a clear blue sky.

Winter – (Mid-December-January). If you’re a snow lover, winter is the best time to visit the Dayar bugyal trek as the whole grassland is blanketed with the carpet of snow, and Skiing down the meadows is a surreal and thrilling experience.

How to reach Dayara Bugyal Trek

You can reach the Dayara Bugyal trek from one of the two beginning points:

1.   Raithal Village

Dayara Bugyal Trek is about 11 km away from Raithal Village. Raithal village is the base camp for Dayara Bugyal Trek.

By Bus

Early morning take a bus from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. In Uttarkashi, you may get a shared taxi for Raithal village near the bus stand. If you can’t get a taxi directly to Raithal village. First, take a taxi to Bhatwari and then change to another taxi to reach Raithal Village.

2.   Barsu Village

Barsu village is an alternate Base camp for the bugyal trek. Barsu village is filled with natural beauty. The distance from Barsu village to Dayara bugyal is 10 km.

Must have documents for the Trek

Original and copy of Identity proof (like Aadhar Card, Driving License, or a passport) are mandatory for forest department verification. If you fail to submit the Identity proof you will not be allowed to trek.
