The Char Dham Yatra starting from May 3. Due to an increase in covid -19 cases in various parts of the country, Uttarakhand Govt. is expected to release new instructions for Char Dham Yatra.
COVID GUIDELINES 2022 FOR CHAR DHAM YATRA
- It is mandatory for all devotees to register on the state government portal before arriving.
- Pilgrims are not required to undergo Covid testing or check their vaccination certificates.
- Pilgrims traveling to Char Dham Yatra must have a negative RT-PCR test report.
- fixing the daily number of pilgrims-
15,000 pilgrims are allowed at Badrinath.
12,000 at Kedarnath.
7,000 at Gangotri.
4,000 at Yamunotri.
- Visitors will be able to enter Yamunotri and Gangotri gates on May 3, Kedarnath gates on May 6, Badrinath gates on May 8, and Hemkund Sahib gates on May 22.
- About 1.5 million people have registered for the pilgrimage on the online portal.
- Due to the increase in infection, India’s active cases have grown to 16,980 or 0.04% of total cases. While daily positive cases have also increased to 0.66%.
- In the last 24 hours, 2,563 patients have been reported recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,25,28,126. The current recovery rate is 98.74 percent.
