Because the PWD has identified roughly 65 large landslide zones along the Chardham Yatra path, making the Chardham Yatra smooth and uninterrupted could prove to be a major task for the government and administration.
The Char Dham Yatra will begin in Uttarakhand next month. Because the PWD has identified over 65 huge landslide zones on the Chardham Yatra route, which can constitute an obstacle in the journey, making the Chardham Yatra smooth and interruption-free could prove to be a major task for the government and administration. The department, on the other hand, is treating all of these landslide zones. However, completing the treatment of all landslide zones prior to the commencement of the journey is difficult.
There Have Been Hundreds of Millions of Rupees Spent
Most of the landline zones, however, are undergoing treatment. The treatment of all of these danger sites will not be completed before the start of the travel season, for which a budget of around one hundred crore rupees has been set aside. Although the PWD department claims to have completed the required preparations for the voyage, which will pass through sensitive areas, appropriate equipment and personnel will be present.
Engineer Pramod Kumar, PWD’s Chief Engineer, stated that all preparations for the Char Dham Yatra have been completed. Approximately 95% of the work has been performed thus far. However, 65 such hazardous locations have been discovered. Preparations are being made to fix them so that the travel will not be disrupted.
What Risk Zones are there ?
These 65 landslide zones also contain several large zones. There is a hazard zone around Banswara, Badasu, and Dolia Devi among these. Apart from that, near Rudraprayag, there is the Narkota Sirobgad Danger Zone. Gaurikund is connected to Gaurikund by a five-kilometer salami. Devprayag tehsil, on the other side, features Mahadev Chatti, Toto Ghati, and three Dhana landslide zones. Apart from Nagud, there is a Landslide Zone at Ataliganga Hotel in Tehri in Kakdagad, Semi Band, Devidhar, Munkatiya, and Dharasu Band.
