The 9 transport companies of Uttarakhand state are planning to design a joint travel rotation for Chardham Yatra. Consent is being taken after negotiating with all the companies for the formation of travel rotation. Formation formalities will be completed soon.
Garhwal Motors Honors Union Limited (GMOU) President Jit Singh Patwal gave this information in a conversation with the officials of the Transport Department at the company headquarters on Thursday. While in the discussion, the company clarified that in view of the convenience of the passengers on unprofitable routes, the company will run 10-13 seater vehicles. The company raised the demand to form a committee to increase the fare once every 3 months after seeing the daily hike in the petrol-diesel prices.
In the conversation, the Assistant Divisional Transport Officer Pankaj Srivastava talked about the necessity of GPS in every vehicle. Said that in the absence of GPS, the fitness of the vehicles cannot be possible. On this, the company demanded the government postpone this order in view of the Corona period. The ARTO requested the company to operate vehicles on local routes with better coordination with the travel routes, so that the passengers do not have to face problems.
He said that from April 15, all vehicles on the Yatra route will be able to make a green card. Green cards will be valid till 30th November.
