Kedarkantha trek starts from Uttarakhand Sankri village. And you have to first reach Dehradun in Uttarakhand to reach here. The distance from Dehradun to Sankri village is approximately 196 km, which takes you about 10 to 11 hours to cover.

Before entering Sankri from Dehradun, you need a forest permit. Govind Pashu National Park comes before reaching Sankri village, there is a check post. You will have to take this permit from there by showing government-authorized ID proof and before entering Sankri village you will have to show this forest permit and fill out a small form.

Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Peak:
Kedarkantha Trek Your second day will start from Juda Ka Talab to reach Kedarkantha Peak. Kedarkantha peak is about 4 kilometers from Juda Ka Talab. It takes around 4 – 6 hours depending on your fitness level to reach Kedarkantha peak from Juda ka Talab. In this trek, you will have to climb steep peaks and you will also pass through lush green meadows and densely forested hills, after reaching the summit of Kedarkantha, you will get to see amazing scenic views here.
From Kedarkantha Peak Down to Hargaon:
The real test of your fitness will begin now. The total distance of 6 km from here will take you from 11250 feet to 12500 feet and bring you back up to 8,900 feet.
