about Dodham Yatra (Yamunotri/Gangotri)
Dodham Yatra covers Gangotri and Yamunotri which are the first two Dhams in the Uttarkhand circuit. Both places are the origin of two holy rivers Ganga and Yamuna. Do dham Yatra starts with Yamunotri and Gangotri, from Dehradun, Haridwar & Rishikesh, and ends with Rishikesh. You will consider the sacred energy Yatra in both Dhams.
Yamunotri Dham
Yamunotri Dham is regarded as an opening of Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra and the place where pilgrims are seeking Yamuna’s blessings in order to get Salvation (Moksha), according to mythological beliefs the lord Yam (God of Death) is happy when one prays to Devi Yamuna because the Yamuna is his sister.
Gangotri Dham
Gangotri Dham is a wonderful spiritual spot on the pilgrimage tour to Chardham. King Bhagirath did penance here, according to mythological beliefs, to bring the Ganges on earth for attaining salvation of his ancestors after which River Ganges descended on earth.

Day:01
Visit Yamunotri
The sacred Chardham yatra will begin in the morning from Sahastradhara Helipad. We will fly to the Kharsali helipad (The helipad for Yamunotri). Upon arrival at Kharsali passengers are welcomed by our ground staff. Temple is a 6 KM S trek away which will be covered by palki. The total journey will take approx 4 hours. After that stay at Yamunotri.

Visit Gangotri
From Kharsali Helipad we will fly to Harsil Helipad which is the nearest helipad for Gangotri Temple. Harsil is one of the most beautiful and picturesque valleys in Uttrakhand and is also known as mini Switzerland. Gangotri temple is approx 22 KM S from Harsil helipad which will be covered by a car. On the way, there are many stunning spots where you can enjoy the beauty of nature.
After Darshan’s stay at Harsil is arranged at Himalayan Nature Resort which is around 2 KM S from the helipad. Our ground staff will assist passengers throughout their stay at Harsil. We provide all the basic and leisure facilities for the tourists such as premium accommodation with ensuite washrooms, delicious vegetarian food, short walks, local sightseeing, and an even in bonfire Gangotri Valley and stay at Gangotri and back to Dehradun.

Alternatively, take a taxi to Yamunotri by train to Dehradun.

Gangotri, the holy city, is also well connected to all tourist attractions in and outside the state of Uttarakhand by road.
You can easily catch tourist buses to Gangotri from places such as Yamunotri, Mussoorie and Tehri. Private deluxe buses and public busses
